“ Review for private event space. I recently used L2 as an event space for a surprise birthday party, and the entire experience was phenomenal. The space is beautiful, and the staff used lighting and decor to transform the space for a perfect daytime event. Food was catered by Leopold's and tasted every bit as delicious as when ordered in the main dining room. Suad and her staff were responsive and attentive, but not at all intrusive during the event. The birthday girl and all of her guests could not stop talking about how lovely the party was--well done! ”

“ Okay, so while I was waiting for brunch at Kafe Leopold I was told that I could wait in the lounge next door and they would find me. Why not? The space seemed like a chic, snooty lounge the playing of house/Euro music in the early afternoon on a Sunday did nothing to reinforce the idea that this place was too cool for school-their brunch menu was also limited, with some pastries, granola and a fruit plate for 7 bucks. So, with all that why am I giving five stars? I can sum it up in three words: Three free drinks. No sooner did we sit down when the bartender asked me us if we wanted a drink on the house. Not one to turn it down we got a house mimosa. After my gf pulled out her huge camera to take a picture of it the manager came by and said to take a picture of more drinks and a Bloody Mary and the White Wine Spritzer. All 3 gratis, with our favorite being the Bloody Mary which was well crafted. The other ones were pretty easy to make. We got called to our table and I asked the bartender if we could take our drinks there. She hesitated, said sure then said she didn't want to talk about it and let us go. A little weird, but we got buzzed for free! ”

You can drop by on Wednesdays for happy hour and skip out on cover all night. Even on weekends, non-members can still get in. You're just going to have to fork over a $25-$35 cover. Oh, and they have bar bites. Who knew?! ”
